Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
After your arrival in Arusha, our safari team will collect you early and depart southward toward Tarangire National Park, crossing scenic landscapes and small rural villages along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch near the park gate. In the afternoon, embark your first game drive through Tarangire’s baobab-studded woodlands and along the treelined Tarangire River, where hundreds of elephants congregate in the dry season. Expect to see giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, zebra, and predators if lucky. As dusk falls, you’ll drive to your lodge or tented camp near the park, enjoy dinner under the starlit sky, and rest up for tomorrow’s adventure.
Day 2: Tarangire → En Route to Serengeti
Rise before dawn for an optional early game drive in Tarangire to catch nocturnal wildlife heading home at sunrise. After breakfast, depart Tarangire heading north toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the outlying Masai lands. En route, stop for lunch and an en-route game drive as you approach the Serengeti. Arrive at your camp or lodge in Serengeti by late afternoon. Once settled, set out on your first evening safari drive across the open plains, searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, herds of wildebeest and zebra. Dinner, campfire stories, and overnight in Serengeti.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today is a full-day immersion in wildlife paradise. Begin with a dawn game drive when activity is highest — predators hunt, herbivores graze, and birds stir. Return mid-day to your camp or lodge for brunch and a rest during the heat. Later in the afternoon, venture out again for a longer, deeper safari drive, exploring different zones (central, northern, or southern Serengeti depending on migration season). You may witness dramatic wildlife interactions, river crossings if in season, and spectacular landscapes. End the day with a sunset drive or sundowner stop before dinner and overnight under the Serengeti sky.
Day 4: Serengeti → Return (via optional stop)
On your final morning, take one last pre-breakfast game drive to soak in the serenity and capture final photo moments. After breakfast, begin your departure route back toward Arusha. If time allows, stop en route for a light game drive or picnic, passing through Maasai lands and scenic highlands. You’ll arrive in Arusha by late afternoon, where your safari ends and we drop you at your hotel or airport for onward departure, carrying unforgettable memories of your 4-day Tarangire Serengeti safari.
