Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your safari guide will meet you and transfer you to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa, a peaceful retreat in Arusha surrounded by lush gardens. Take the evening to relax after your flight, enjoy a warm welcome dinner, and perhaps unwind with a massage or swim. This evening serves as the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s hospitality before your adventure begins the next morning.
Day 2 – Arusha → Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Arrive in time for lunch at Burunge Tented Lodge, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive. Watch out for buffalo, lions, and the elusive leopard among the acacia woodlands and riverbanks. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner, enjoying views over Lake Burunge and the distant Tarangire plains beneath a star-filled sky.
Day 3 – Full Day Game Drive in Tarangire
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire, often called the “home of giants” for its towering baobabs and large elephant populations. Your morning drive takes you deep into the park where zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes gather around the Tarangire River. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, continuing with an afternoon drive to spot predators resting under shady trees. Return to Burunge Tented Lodge for sundowners and a tranquil evening in the bush.
Day 4 – Tarangire → Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive surrounded by dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife, including rhinos, hippos, lions, and flamingos. Enjoy lunch at the hippo pool picnic site before ascending to the rim. Overnight at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Tented Camp, where you’ll enjoy cozy tents, fine cuisine, and sweeping views of the crater highlands.
Day 5 – Ngorongoro → Serengeti via Masai Village
After breakfast, journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, stopping at a Masai cultural village to experience their traditional dances and lifestyle. Continue across the vast plains, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive teeming with wildebeests, zebras, and predators. Settle in at Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp, an authentic bush camp offering close-to-nature comfort and beautiful sunsets over the savannah. Dinner is served under the stars with the sounds of the wild all around.
Day 6 – Full Day in Serengeti
Wake up early for an exciting full-day safari in the Serengeti, Africa’s most iconic wildlife sanctuary. Morning drives reveal lions and cheetahs hunting, while afternoons are perfect for spotting elephants, giraffes, and countless bird species. You may even witness part of the Great Migration if timing allows. Picnic lunch is served in the bush before returning to Katikati Camp. Enjoy storytelling by the campfire and the magic of an African night sky.
Day 7 – Another Full Day in Serengeti
Enjoy another day to explore different areas of the Serengeti. Visit the Seronera Valley—known as the “Big Cat Capital”—and witness thrilling predator action. Your guide will tailor the route based on wildlife movements. Between drives, relax at Katikati Camp, where warm hospitality and comfortable tents create the perfect bush-experience balance. Tonight, celebrate your last night on safari with a special farewell dinner and reflections on your unforgettable adventures.
Day 8 – Serengeti → Zanzibar Island
After breakfast and a short morning game drive, transfer to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival, a resort representative will meet you and transfer you to Sandies Baobab Beach Resort, located on Nungwi Beach. Check in to your ocean-view room and enjoy an all-inclusive stay. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or strolling along powdery white sands as the turquoise Indian Ocean laps gently at the shore.
Day 9 – Full Day at Leisure in Zanzibar
Spend your day basking in the tropical beauty of Zanzibar. Relax by the beach, swim in crystal-clear waters, or indulge in optional excursions such as snorkeling, a sunset dhow cruise, or a visit to historic Stone Town. The island’s mix of culture, spice plantations, and coral reefs make it a perfect place to unwind after your safari. All meals and drinks are included at Sandies Baobab Beach Resort.
Days 10 & 11 – Zanzibar Beach Escape
Enjoy two more full days in paradise. Wake up to the sound of the ocean, savor fresh tropical fruits for breakfast, and spend your days however you please—beach walks, spa treatments, or water sports. The resort’s all-inclusive package lets you sample delicious Swahili and international cuisines with sunset cocktails. These final days capture the essence of luxury relaxation after your safari adventures.
