4-Day Northern Tanzania Safari Holiday

Day 1: Arrive Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport. After you have cleared with immigration department, you will be met by african paradise safaris representative. Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive, Tarangire s the sixth largest national park covers an area of approximately 2,600 square kilometers. Tarangire is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. Stay overnight at Burunge Tented Camp.

Day 2: Full day in  Tarangire natonal park.

After your breakfast start drive for full day Tarangire. Today you will have a picnic lunch in the park. Later head to the lodge to rest and overnight.

  The park's dominant feature is the Tarangire River. Although it gets very dry, the park is relatively thickly vegetated with acacia shrubs and mixed woodland. Most memorable of which are the huge baobab trees dotted around in big numbers. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams, in the dry riverbeds while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. Dry-country antelope such as fringe-eared Oryx and the long-necked gerenuk are also regularly spotted. Abandoned termite –mounds often house mongoose colonies. All the main predators are present but, because of thick vegetation, not spotted as often as in some of the other parks in northern Tanzania.

Day 3: Tarangire natonal park.- Ngoro ngoro conservancy

Morning game drive from Tarangire, then drive to the south-east of the park to Ngorongoro Conservation Are. The crater is one of the most amazing sights of the world to be seen anywhere. Stay overnight at Tloma Lodge with fascinating view of the crater floor.

Day 4: Crater Ngoro ngoro conservancy – Arusha

Breakfast at the lodge, Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for crater tour with packed lunch. This is world heritage site, the incomparable Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest “caldera”*. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if you’re lucky, the near-extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Then drive to Arusha- where you will be transferred to the airport for your home flight.
