4 days - Lake Nakuru National Park Tour

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

Today you will be picked from the hotel or from the Airport. Drive through the cool Rift Valley environment towards Nakuru. Drive through the park and arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Have an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Nakuru is a small park with over 50% of its area covered by the Lake. Located in the middle of the Rift valley, L. Nakuru has a wide variety of animals which includes the Rothschild Giraffe, Lions, White and Black rhinos as well as the Leopard. All these can be spotted depending on your luck. The park is also considered by birdwatchers as an ornithological paradise! A myriad of both Greater and lesser flamingoes has made this lake their home. Meals and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge (full board).

Day 2: Full day exploring Lake Nakuru

Explore the lake Nakuru with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a hot breakfast and head to a morning game drive in the park. During lunchtime head to the lodge for your lunch. Relax and proceed back to the afternoon game drives. The highlight of Lake Nakuru Safari is the game drive and African wildlife viewing where the possibilities of seeing buffaloes, white rhinos, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and leopards are high.  All your meals and overnight will be at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge – full board

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park game drives

Another day in Lake Nakuru national park in search for big fives. Explore the park with morning and afternoon game drives.
The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth - myriads of pink flamingo whose numbers are legion, often more than a million and which literally turn its shores pink.They feed on the abundant algae which thrive in the warm waters. But flamingo are not the only avian attraction, as the lake is rich in other birdlife. There are over 400 resident species on the lake and in the surrounding park. Large numbers of pelicans concentrate by the fresh-water streams that flow into the lake, and thousands of other birds may be seen including African fish eagles, white-winged black terns, stilts, avocets, ducks and in the European winter, the migrant waders. Day 4: Lake Nakuru national park – Nairobi

Enjoy your breakfast at leisure. Check out and drive to Nairobi. Have lunch in Nairobi restaurant before-  you will be transferred to the airport for your home flight or Nairobi hotel.
